fields of modern-day. Governors State’s Bachelor of Arts in 数学 equips students with the ability to think
independently, creatively, critically through a curriculum balanced between
theoretical and applied study. Students can elect to pursue a concentration in
Actuarial Science to prepare for a career in risk analysis.
As a mathematics student,
you will gain a broad understanding of concepts in algebra, geometry, calculus,
physic, statistics. At least one course in computer science is
required—though more may be elected—preparing you with technical skills needed
for many mathematical career paths.

development or statistical analysis in industries including healthcare,

If you intend to pursue a career as an actuary—a risk
analyst—you can choose the Actuarial Science concentration within the B.A. in
